Instagram have announced on their blog that the service now has 400 million users around the world, 75% of these being outside the USA. They have also told us they are seeing more users from Europe and Asia sign-up.
On a daily basis, around 80 million photos are shared on the social network.
We saw Facebook make a rather substantial change to the Instagram service recently, when they introduced functionality allowing landscape and portrait photos, moving away from the sqaure based photos they have had since the service launched.
Instagram themselves now have over 100 million followers. They announced the update on their account this morning.
No doubt Facebook’s mass is helping Instagram grow fast and I expect this will continue further.
